Explaining PolyesterThought PolyesterThought is a creative collective working primarily with new media. The collective is based in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 2000 by Wayne Borody and Kevin Smith as a way to collaborate on a project based on the life, writing and subsequent influence of Friedrich Nietzsche, the German poet, philosopher, writer and composer. In the course of working on this project, the number of members increased. A performance element also developed, along with some side projects. "One off" performances under the name PolyesterThought began to occur that were or were not related to the initial "Nietzsche Project". Despite these, the focus of the core group remained on the initial task. While these performances were certainly accomplishments the collective is proud of, the group is pleased to announce the forth coming release of Franz Metamorphica: Contemporary Music Based on the Life and Writings Friedrich Nietzsche on Roots of Rocks Recordings in the Summer of 2007.
